Cookie Policy

Last updated: June 2025

1. Introduction

TrustShip uses cookies to keep you logged in and keep the platform secure. That's pretty much it.

We don't use advertising cookies. We don't track you across the internet. We don't sell cookie data to anyone.

This page explains exactly what cookies we use and why.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember you between page visits.

There are different types:

  • Essential cookies — needed for the website to function
  • Analytics cookies — track how you use the site
  • Advertising cookies — track you across websites for ads

TrustShip only uses essential cookies.

3. Cookies We Use

Only 3 essential cookies — all required for TrustShip to work.
Cookie name Purpose Type Duration
_trustship_session Keeps you logged in to your account Essential Until browser closes or 2 weeks if remember me selected
authenticity_token Protects against CSRF security attacks Essential Session only
flash_* Shows success/error messages after actions Essential Session only

That's it. Three cookies. All essential. None optional.

4. Cookies We Do NOT Use

We want to be clear about what we do not do:

  • No Google Analytics or any analytics tracking
  • No Facebook Pixel or Meta tracking
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies
  • No third party tracking of any kind
  • No heatmap or session recording tools
  • No A/B testing cookies
  • No data sold to advertisers

When we say we respect your privacy — we mean it.

5. Third Party Cookies

TrustShip itself sets no third party cookies.

However when you use TrustShip, some third party services we integrate with may set their own cookies:

Razorpay — payment processing. When you make a payment via Razorpay, they may set cookies governed by their own cookie policy.

Meta WhatsApp — the WhatsApp connection flow may involve Meta's own cookies governed by Meta's cookie policy.

We have no control over third party cookies. Please review their respective policies for details.

6. Managing Cookies

Since TrustShip only uses essential cookies, disabling them will affect how the platform works:

  • Disabling session cookie — you will be logged out every time you close the browser
  • Disabling authenticity token — forms and actions will not work correctly for security reasons

You can manage cookies in your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies

Note: Blocking essential cookies may break TrustShip functionality.

8. Future Changes

If TrustShip introduces analytics or other non-essential cookies in future:

  • This policy will be updated
  • A cookie consent banner will be added
  • You will have full control over non-essential cookies
  • We will notify users via email before changes take effect
